Last night I spent most of the evening watching election results come in, laughing to myself. I sat there watching more conservative podcasts, full of people who were overall clueless. I’m not going to name names, but go take a look on Rumble and you’ll see some well-known faces. I’m not sure why these people really thought it wouldn’t be bad, but needless to say, it was obvious a year ago that the midterms would be a bloodbath. In fact, if you remember the scene in the 90s movie Deep Impact—the tidal wave in that movie—that was the blue wave last night.
I’m a pretty moderate dude, but I’ve gotten older and moved towards the right. Only because the left has gotten more extreme in the last decade. I’m not for Socialism, Communism, or any form of a massive government redistributing the wealth of hard-working people. I’m also not an atheist who just believes in the state, human authority, or the mighty God of basic science. Though I do believe in the freedom of thought, expression, and the need for non-conformity in most things on Earth.
What I find amazing is the number of conservatives who are clueless as to why the results are what they are. Yeah, I’m sure there’s a number of them who probably think there was a national effort to cheat, and that’s what occurred. Let’s be clear: there is always some fraud in elections. Anyone who says there isn’t is just unintelligent, repeating a statement they’ve heard from CNN or MSNBC. Of course there is fraud—it’s all over our society, and elections are not immune from it. However, in this case, the results are overwhelmingly due to the current administration deviating from their election messages.
I can hear the conservative folks now, grinding their teeth in anger over my statement. They will say things like: “What do you mean, the border is closed?” “The economy is better overall.” “Manufacturing is coming back!” Yes, those things may be true, but you’re forgetting some key things. Let me clarify some of these for you.
First, there has been no accountability for anybody who was abusing children on a certain island or other places. Trump has people in his cabinet who lived basically right next door to the man who was trafficking kids to the elite. Let’s not forget, too, that someone is in federal prison right now for trafficking children. Thus, the narrative that “it’s not a crime to party with Jeffrey Epstein” just pisses most Americans off. Sure, it’s not a crime to party, but it certainly is to abuse and traffic children.
Second, Trump has gotten the US involved in another Middle Eastern conflict, at the behest of a troll that was running a country with a population less than, or close to, NYC’s. This has compounded the energy issues in the country and the rest of the world, and let’s be honest, the excuses about nuclear weapons are just like the weapons in Iraq. The same warmongers who started that have been claiming since the ’90s that Iran was weeks away from a nuclear weapon. One of those people was the same little troll who was running that small country. Also, it should be stated that any group of people who think they are “God’s Chosen People” better really take a hard look at what they were calling God. And there are a lot of people out there who think they are part of a special group of people, and everyone else is less. It’s a common occurrence with the human species.
Third, the prices of gas, diesel, and groceries are unacceptable to most Americans. Especially when they have been mostly ignored by the current administration, since they are driven by current tensions in the Middle East, as well as other regions in the world where conflicts still rage. However, when you campaign on low prices, no more conflicts, and accountability, but then don’t deliver, people will get pissed.
Fourth, Trump doesn’t help himself. With every non-presidential Truth or Tweet he puts out, he just gives the people who really hate him more motivation to go out and vote in force. Trust me, that played a big part in the midterms this year.
Fifth, most Americans don’t want narcissistic tech turds and their partners putting up AI data centers in their neighborhoods. Yet, Mango Man brought in two of the most insidious scumbags into the White House within two days of being elected to tout the plan to sell it to the American people. News flash: overall, it didn’t go over well. He has yet to backtrack on this plan. I’ll say it again: no one wants AI data centers in their neighborhoods collecting data on them, using it to build profiles on everyone and their habits. And yes, that’s what they want. No matter how they sell it to you, narcissistic sociopaths don’t care about the health of others. Nor the overall well-being or how happy they may be. They just want control over their lives, and AI will give them that control. A wild-west style of AI rollout has been rejected by the American people as a whole.
Sixth, the current administration hasn’t really codified any of their policies or overturned any legislation that restricts American freedoms, such as the Patriot Act. Trump has basically governed by executive order in most cases. So everything will be reversed within a year, when the opposite party takes the White House.
Finally, seventh, Trump has done very little to unify the country as a whole. He has thrived in the chaos of division. Although some of the hard feelings are expected, it’s normal. There comes a time when you have to swallow your ego and put shit behind you. We passed that moment over a year ago. So for the conservative podcasters, influencers, and just plain citizens who have no clue—these are just seven reasons why last night turned out like it did. It wasn’t some huge fraud effort. It was people who were pissed, and they made sure they let the administration know it.
Now, do I think anything major will change? Not really. The Democrats will celebrate, the Democratic Socialists of America will hoot and holler, the Republicans will be reflective, and Trump will shift between blaming others and solely accepting the results. But at the end of the day, the average American will not see much of anything change.
Prices will still be high, the Democrats will not force the administration to pull out of Iran, and they will not deny Israel American support. Instead, they will focus on investigations to some level, and attempt to pass legislation that aligns with their views. Most of which will be so far to the left that it gets the mighty veto, with no chance of the veto being overturned. So, of course, they will blame Trump and call him all sorts of things. And Trump will continue to put out inappropriate, triggering Truths and Tweets.
While at the same time, the majority of the American people get too caught up in the Jerry Springer show for another two years, never truly paying attention to what is going on around them.
The end result will be more stress, frustration, and anger from the American people, and it will be directed at the government. Eventually, things will truly get interesting, and people will stop playing the perceived two-party game. But clearly we are not uncomfortable enough yet. So, in the meantime, let’s see how the next two years go, and maybe some genuine good things will occur in American politics.
